1. కలత నిద్రలో ఒత్తిగిలితే,

పెరట్లో అమ్మ నాటిన గులాబీ

కంటిముందుకొచ్చింది చిత్రంగా!

ఆ వెనుకే లైబ్రరీ మెట్లమీద నీ చిరునవ్వూ!

1. ఈ చందమామ, ఈ నక్షత్రాలు, ఈ పువ్వులు,

ఈ వాన చినుకులు, ఈ ఏడు రంగుల హరివిల్లూ

నీ వెనుకే కదూ పుట్టుకొచ్చాయి!

1. నీ అమాయకపు ముఖం చూసి

గాలికి కదిలే చిరు మేఘమనుకున్నా,

ఉప్పెనై నన్ను కమ్ముకుని

ఊపిరాడనివ్వని తుఫానువవుతావనుకోలేదు!

1. వేళకాని వేళ విసిగించే నల్లమబ్బు

నీ పరిచయంతో

చల్లని వానజల్లై పలకరిస్తోంది!

1. మానవాళికి హంగులిచ్చే నేను

ప్రపంచానికి రంగులద్దే నువ్వు

ఇద్దరం ఏనాడో సహప్రయాణీకులమయ్యాం!

1. విశ్వ రహస్యాల్ని వెదికే నేను,

మస్తిష్కపు సమాధానాల్ని పట్టుకొచ్చే నువ్వు

ఏ సరిహద్దు మీద కలుస్తాం?!

1. రహదారి పొడవునా

తలలూపి పలకరించే గడ్డిపువ్వుల్ని

అంత సున్నితంగా పలకరిస్తావెందుకు?

అవి నాముందే నీ చేతిని తాకుతుంటే

ఎందుకో ఎప్పుడూ ఎరగని కంటి చెమ్మ తగులుతోంది!

1. ఇన్నేళ్లూ నువ్వు నడిచిన దారులు,

నీ చుట్టూ పరుగులెత్తిన లేత గాలులు,

నిన్ను దర్శించిన సూర్యోదయ, సూర్యాస్తమయాలు,

నాకంటే ఏం పుణ్యం చేసుకున్నాయంటావ్? నిజం చెప్పు!

చదువు, కెరీరంటూ నాన్న గీసిన గిరులు ధిక్కరించనందుకు
లోకం ప్రయోజకుడన్న ముద్ర వేసి, పొంగిపొరలే జీవన భాండాన్ని అందించింది!
ఎప్పుడో ఈ అన్ని హోదాల వెనుక , అన్ని పరుగుపందేల వెనుక
నిశ్చింతగా పెనవేసుకు నిద్రపోయే భార్యో, కూతురో,
ఏ నిద్రపట్టని నిశిరాత్రి నిశ్శబ్దమో, ఏ ఒంటరి సుదూర ప్రయాణమో,
నాలోని నన్ను బయటపడేసే యత్నం మొదలెడుతుంది!
అప్పుడు,
అకస్మాత్తుగా మొదలవుతుంది గుండెపట్టని దిగులు…
ఏనాటిదో డైరీ పేజీల మద్య దాచుకున్న తొలి కవితా పంక్తులు!
‘ఈ పిచ్చి రాతలు కడుపునింపవని’ వీపున చరిచి,
తను నమ్మిన జీవిత సత్యాల్ని నాలోకి ఒంపే యత్నంలో తనే గెలిచి,
భాష యెరుగని ప్రవాస దేశంలో చదువుకొమ్మంటూ తరిమికొట్టిన నాన్న!
బిక్కుమనే తనానికి స్నేహపు పూతరేకులద్ది,
లోకపు గెలుపులకోసం నడక ఆరంభించిన రోజులు!
జీవితం-
నేను నేనుగా మాత్రమే ఎప్పటికీ మిగలాలన్న ప్రాకృతిక భావాన్ని,
నా జీవనాభిలాషల్ని దోచుకుని,
నేనేమైపోయానో అర్థం కాని జడత్వాన్ని
ప్రపంచానికి పనికొచ్చే చైతన్యాన్ని మాతం నాలో మిగిల్చింది!
